The university possesses considerable potential and practical experience in organizing and conducting public events aimed at highlighting Ukrainian (including Crimean Tatar) themes and promoting national culture, traditions, historical heritage, and patriotic values among youth and the educational community. The Faculty of Social and Psychological Education runs the national-patriotic student camp “DIIA,” which focuses on nurturing students’ patriotic consciousness, loyalty to the homeland, commitment to national well-being, and readiness to fulfill their civic and constitutional duty in defending Ukraine’s national interests, integrity, and independence while contributing to the development of a lawful, democratic, and socially oriented state. The camp organizes thematic sessions, including: “I am Ukrainian and I am proud of it!”, “I am a student, I am a patriot!”, “5 Ideas for My Ukraine”, “Youth in Action – Prosperous Nation”, and “Traveling Without Barriers”, among others.

The university is also considering collaboration with scholars from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa, specializing in history, philosophy, political science, and cultural studies.
The university has strong academic and organizational capacity to implement exhibition and presentation projects focused on Ukrainian topics. More than 40 history and culture-related academic courses are taught across the faculties of History, Philology and Journalism, and Foreign Languages. These courses are aimed at promoting the Ukrainian language, national culture, traditions, and historical heritage. The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Environmental Education organizes educational excursions to the M.F. Koval Zoological Museum, which features specimens of fauna native to Ukraine. For example, one such event was held for a delegation from Pomeranian University in Słupsk (Republic of Poland).
Faculty from the Department of Preschool and Special Education have organized exhibitions of Ukrainian folk art by Honored Master of Folk Art of Ukraine Olena Vasylivna Polishchuk, including exhibitions titled We Are from Ukraine, Symbols-Codes of Ukrainian Folk Painting, The Cossack Lineage Lives On, and The Cherry Tree – A Symbol of Ukrainian Kinship.

The University has the necessary foundation to establish a dedicated Department or Center for Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar Studies. This is based on its existing practical experience in implementing similar initiatives, which is demonstrated by the effective work of several centers focused in particular on the promotion of Ukrainian culture (e.g., the Polish Cultural and Educational Center, the International Center for Cultural and Educational Integration).
Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University has the capacity to organize Summer Schools for its students and those from other Coalition member institutions. The University has participated in a project that included 30 thematic summer schools for Ukrainian students, postgraduate students, and academic staff. This project was funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and the National Centre for Research and Development (Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju), and was implemented at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Republic of Poland). More than 100 academic staff and students from the University took part in these summer schools.

- Historical sciences: creation of a certification course jointly with European universities, which can be taken online “History of civil rights in Europe”; joint research on the consequences of the RF war against Ukraine (multidisciplinary scientific projects on changes in national memory, the role of history in resistance to aggression).

- The Polish Cultural and Educational Center is functioning successfully, acting as a co-organizer of international-level events, in particular scientific conferences and round tables, as well as a co-coordinator in the implementation of international summer schools and projects. The Center also provides consultative support for university students participating in credit academic mobility programs in higher education institutions of the Republic of Poland.
- The International Center for Cultural and Educational Integration operates to provide consultative support to international students and to organize interviews with prospective applicants from among foreign citizens to generate interest in obtaining higher education at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.
- The Research Center for Pedagogical Regional Studies, under joint subordination of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, operates to develop fundamental and applied research on issues of pedagogical regional studies, coordinate researchers’ activities in this field, create opportunities for testing and implementing research results in the educational process, and involve talented youth in active scientific research. The teaching of the Ukrainian language and related disciplines is provided by the Department of Applied Linguistics (https://onua.edu.ua/ua/about-kaf-lingua-ukr).
